The cards I use in my practice are not tarot, oracle or any traditional system. They’re a personal set of cards that I have specifically designed to guide these session. Each card carries imagery and words that can spark something in the person who sees it. They are not about predicting the future or giving fixed answers. Instead, they work more like mirrors, reflecting back what already lives inside you. Sometimes in ways that are easier to see when it’s put into form.
Before a session, a customer may choose to write down an intention. Something they want to work with, shift, or call in. When we meet, we take time to sit together and talk. If they feel drawn, they can then pick two cards from the deck. These cards are not rules or restrictions. They are simply openings. If they resonate, they can guide the tattoo design or help anchor the meaning of the piece.
One customer came in with the intention of wanting to find their footing more clearly in what direction to go with their business. They also spoke of the desire to worry less about the future. From the deck, they drew two cards:
Layered circles: carrying the themes of time, wisdom, and memory. It speaks of ancestral knowledge, patience, and trust in the unfolding of life.
The alchemic symbol for Earth: grounding, stability, and the strength of foundation.
Together, these cards became the ground from which the tattoo design grew. The tattoo became a way to hold both the reminder of patience and the strength of being rooted, qualities the customer wanted to carry with them as they moved forward.
